As always, let’s start with music. I now have 16 songs fully recorded and mixed with just another 5 to add vocals to (they should be done by next week). When the remaining tracks are complete I will have 21 songs which I’ll be passing around to various friends and acquaintances for their opinions. Once I’ve finalised the album track listing I’ll probably still release the remaining songs as a bonus CD, but more on that nearer the time. I’m still trying to devise a way of magically conjuring up a huge wad of money to spend on promoting the new album. I’m genuinely determined to do it somehow soon and I don’t plan to set a release date until I have the funds to promote it properly. I’d also wish to state that in five years time I WILL BE A MILLIONAIRE.

Straying from music, on Saturday I took my 3 year old son Harry on his very first trip to the cinema. We managed to see 20 minutes of Ice Age 4 before he become restless and wanted to leave. The trouble was that he had to sit through a staggering 35 minutes of adverts and trailers before the main feature began. Who’s clever f*****g idea was it to screen 35 minutes of crap before a children’s film? Don’t they know young children lose interest quickly and after forking out over £6 for a 3 year old to watch a movie, it would have been nice to… well, have watched a movie. Never mind. It was still what I will always fondly remember as a real Daddy & Son moment, even when he found it more entertaining to stand on his cinema chair with his back to the screen and awkwardly stare at the stranger sat behind.

I would just like to finish this rather short blog by dedicating it to my Uncle Stan, who passed away a fortnight ago. He lived to 90, which is a wonderful age, but suffered from ill health for the last 24 years of his life. He is now reunited with so many familier and much loved faces, many of  whom went way before their time. Love to them all.xxxx
